I have always had a passion for food. I believe that it is important to use seasonal, local products as these usually provide
the best flavours and quality, and this is my plan for preparing food for my customers too.
I love ingredients coming together to make a delight for both sight and taste. To watch the pleasure on someone’s face,
as they enjoy the completed meal, is always rewarding.
I have had the opportunity in the past to present very successful dinner parties for as many as 40 people. I have also had the
pleasure of cooking and serving for romantic nights in for 2, I left after putting dessert on the table and cleaning the
kitchen!
I have 2 children, and I have always done my own thing for their parties and helped organise other family member’s
parties. After the event I would realise that although the children had a great time I had missed a lot of their fun as I was
busy. I want to give other parents the fantastic opportunity to make their child’s special day even more fun and join in
too while I do the work.
My children have had Harry Potter parties (complete with a Quidditch match), fire engine parties, fairy parties, T shirt
painting parties, sword making parties and numerous different craft parties. If you let your imagination go it’s usually
possible to achieve a party with a difference. I find children’s imaginations amazing when you give them free rein with a
creative activity. I love working with some of the most creative thinkers in the world.
Parsnip Parties uses CRB checked staff, and is fully insured. I am food hygiene and handling certificated and registered with
environmental health department where I have a 5 (top mark) on the new scores on the doors system.
